Book Cover: Something to do with Babies!

I had a cover to do for a nice woman – it was to do with a getting more maternity leave for American women. European’s don’t go look at wikipedia for how terrible US maternity leave is. And likewise pregnant American women – don’t go have a look at how good your European counterparts get it!

Whichever way your look at it – this woman is fighting the good fight. I love my mum. Bonding time = Vital.

So I did her six options for the price of three. Here they are:

All of these are so incredibly precious; I’ve sat here for minutes looking at them. What sweet, sweet little babies. I’d love to hug every one of them. But, speaking of covers, I’ll have to go with “We Did It.” Talk about bonding! The *eyes* have it!!! Beautiful stuff, CL.

I agree with Christine, I like the We Did It design because of the mother and child bonding. I also like the Sistine Chapel design, it conveys a strong message of urgency and concern (the mother having to go back to work, the baby not wanting to let go) that may result in more sales.

Nice points about Sistine Chapel, John. BTW, I’ve been watching out for your Path to Self for sometime. (Been wanting to buy it.) I hadn’t looked for a few days (busy with Tom’s cover, etc), but just checked and saw that it’s available! I was planning on doing an Amazon order today anyway, so I’ll add it to the list. I’ll buy, of course, the CreateSpace version, because that’s what’s available, and because I enjoy a *real* book from time to time, especially for non-fiction. But I’m curious: are you planning on putting out an ebook as well? Love the cover; you obviously had a first-rate talent do it up for you! πŸ˜‰

Wow, thank you Christine. Yes I will have a kindle version coming out in late September. And yes, I have a fabulous CL Smith cover, I love the way it looks on the actual print copy. It looks fantastic. I couldn’t have been more pleased. πŸ™‚

You are so very, very nice! Thank you! And I hope you enjoy them. BTW, I had noticed this a.m. that Tom had had a sale on .UK and I had wondered how it had come about. Thank you for letting me know. On another note, when I was at .com today looking at your book, I discovered that you have a blog. I am about to sign up, provided that I can get it sent to my email address. (Can’t tell yet.) If not, I’ll try to contact you via your blog and maybe you can help me out. I don’t think Tom and I can get RSS feeds or other things like that. But I’ll find out. And thanks again, John!
